Black people at work told me I and or all whites were responsible for slavery?
I told them I was 2nd generation Finnish from Finland and my country and or my people never partook in the slave trade. So, you can see me as an equal with no colors attached. I asked, Now, will you respect me as much as I respect you?

Actually, it was primarily the Dutch and the African Tribal leaders who were mostly responsible for slavery. Well, the slave sales, anyway. Of course, all races are responsible for being consumers of slavery. Even now, Africans are commonly sold into slavery amongst themselves. Bullshit they need to stop already. And whites were the first slaves in America it is simply not politcally correct to talk about it and they were sold to blacks on Islands. So are blacks responsblie for all slavery?? Considering to they are still selling each other in Africa.

Don't try to defend it. My family lived in Canada during that time and didn't come here until the 30's and I get the same comments. Anyone who attacks you personally on this issue is unintelligent and narrow minded. They are acting racist towards you based on your color and not on who you are as an individual.

Every race was a slave at one time, the Irish and Germans were slaves and mistreated to when they imegrated to the United States, Africans had there own people as slaves, the greeks had slaves in 800bc and guess what they weren't black, let's just move on from this topic because I never owned any slaves

Also, tell them to pick up a history book and read it once in a while. There were African tribe leaders who sold other tribes into slavery as part of war. And ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HELD SLAVES ARE ALL DEAD!

If you where not born in that time line then you couldn't do the crime , tell them get over it I have , and if they really want to point fingers there's not one race that have never part taken in the act of slavery ,blacks sold blacks , whites sold whites every nationality has turned on there own so where all to blame you don't need to apologize and anyone that shows you less respect than you give them leave them alone all together.

I'm black myself and my one advice is to ignore them. Trust me, black people themselves can't win against these type of people. They usually don't have much education, or are really radical, no matter what you say you're doomed to being seeing as a racist, or a sale out for that matter!!! Just know that not all (the majority of) black people think or behave that way. And who cares seriously, its not like that person pay your bills or feed you, so let them talk. You know better than to talk to some crazy black guy.

Actually the employer is required to give paid holidays if one's employment is "permanent". Approximately it's about one month per year including weekends unless agreed otherwise. There's also general agreements on terms of work on most industries. On average we have more holidays than any other workers of the other countries. That doesn't mean that everyone has that kind of permanent agreement, most commonly shorter contracts are given with less benefits. Working life is actually changing and all those benefits could just be history after maybe about ten years.

It depends on what you are specialized in. Skillfull people are always needed. If you have no education you can end up with a job that no Swede wants to do, like cleaning or washing dishes if you ever get a job. Remember you can´t go to Sweden and start to work, you need a permit to stay and a working permit. Another story is if you apply for a job in a Swedish firm, then they can help you with all the paper work. If I where you, I would contact a Swedish firm and ask them if they a person like you.
