I want to travel from Florida to Finland by ship. I want to stay there 1 month. How can I do this?
I want to go from Florida to Finland by passanger ship, stay there for approximately one month and come back the same way. Closest ports as Stockholm, Copenhagen, etc... they would work too. There's no way I want to use airplanes, ships only! Please help me, I need to be there in August 2009

get on a boat that sails northeast and get off the boat at the sign that says "Welcome to Finland"

You're going to find this very difficult to do, as transatlantic cruises are rare, very expensive and only use a few ports. Cruises like this tend to be luxury, and much more expensive than a flight. You can see journeys currently scheduled here: http://www.cruisetransatlantic.com/cruises.html The only ships listed this time of year leave from the northeastern US and go to the UK. You would need to first get to NYC from Florida. From the UK, you would have to travel by various ferries, trains and busses to get where you want to go. It would take 10-15 days (including travel within the US and Europe if you don't fly), and likely cost thousands of dollars each way.

Oh, wow! I imagine that would take weeks! And it would be expensive. I travel a lot between the U.S. and Europe and have never met anyone who has done that. Best of luck though.

Can I become a Nurse in Europe and work in the USA

Can I become a Nurse in Europe and work in the USA?
I am an American citizen and I would like to study in Europe and become a nurse there. Would the degree I get in Europe be valid in the United States? The country I want to go to is Germany, but I also wouldn't mind Finland.

check state licensing board for nurses in the state(s) you're interested in.

Make sure it's an "approved course" http://www.rn.ca.gov/applicants/lic-exam.shtml

You reckon the erupted volcano in Iceland will prevent me from getting from Finland to Italy next Tuesday

You reckon the erupted volcano in Iceland will prevent me from getting from Finland to Italy next Tuesday?
Just wondering if you people have any kind of guess about whether or not it will work. Would suck so bad if the flight was cancelled, been waiting for this trip for a g e s. And anyway, volcano ash? What is this, 2012 or something? Ridiculous. Soon come the floods and asteroids.

Call your airline. Volcanic ash does pose a threat to air travel especially if too much gets into the engines.
2 :
Don't be surprised if it gets cancelled, as they are saying it could be erupting for a long time.
3 :
No. Why ridiculous? This has been a safety issue for years. A BA 747 dropped from 35,000 to 12,000 with no engines because of flying through an ash cloud.
4 :
the airports in italy are closed today and maybe also tomorrow in Milan and Bologna..
5 :
It could easily last beyond Tuesday - actually looking quite likely now - showing no signs of letting up the eruption: http://www.myworldwebcams.com/iceland/volcano_webcam.html

A friend from Finland is visiting USA and is bringing her cellphone. How do I call her phone when she's here

A friend from Finland is visiting USA and is bringing her cellphone. How do I call her phone when she's here?
We're assuming that her cell-phone will work here in the USA; I know from research that she can call my phone number when she's here just like a regular USA number. I'm just not sure how I'd call her back!

you call her how your normall call her the 1011country code and number. you might wanna get her a little prepaid phone or get internet phone (skype) its alot cheeper
2 :
You use her regular number - and get charged for an international call. It would be a good idea for her to get an inexpensive prepaid to use while she's here.
