How do I text someone in Finland from America

How do I text someone in Finland from America?
I have their phone number and they said to put +358 in the front of their number when I text them. I tried that and it didn't work. I had them try to text me but that didn't work either. What do I need to do? So as an example if the number was 358 040 123 4567 it would be 011 358 040 123 4567?

The + in Europe is a 00 but from the US you have to do the following: 011 358 and the the rest of this persons number Good luck!

The answer from Robin is correct - no idea why someone gave a thumb down. To call you, they almost certainly dial 001-area code-number (ex. 001-212-123-4567). To call them you dial 011-country code-number. Note that many European phone numbers start with a zero when they dial domestically. When calling them from abroad you drop the zero, so if their phone number (without the +358) is 0123456789, you would dial 011-358-123456789 from the USA. Finally, check with your phone or cellular provider. You may need to set-up "international calling" before you can call or text to numbers abroad. Customer service for cellphones is usually 611.

Will PS3 games bought in UK, work on a console bought somewhere else in europe?
So if I have a PS3 bought in Europe outside the UK, will games from UK work on my PS3? Cause I know that the PS3 itself is a little different in rest of the europe (power cable) I really want to know cause here where I live PS3 games are twice the price as in UK! P.S. I might have my PS3 from Scandinavia, Finland or Baltics!

How can I get assistance finding work in Europe, via agencies or otherwise

How can I get assistance finding work in Europe, via agencies or otherwise?
I am an Australian citizen who would like to move to Europe. For this I will most likely need to find employment and I'd prefer not to be simply on a working holiday Visa. If it helps, I would be mainly looking for work in the IT industry (where I have qualifications and experience) or any work where the main requirement is fluency in English, but I'm open to any kind of small, yet secure, work. What recruitment/employment agencies are there who, for a fee, will help me find work with employers who are willing to hire someone who is not a resident of their country? Ideally they would be able to provide assistance, to perhaps both myself and the employer, regarding work sponsorship Visas and other legal issues. I have been applying for jobs simply from those advertised on websites but it seems it would be far more efficient to hire an agency who have the knowledge to find positions which may be available to foreigners. That and if they are able to assist with legal issues, employers might be more willing to provide sponsorship. Any ideas on how to find work and sponsorship would be greatly appreciated. I don't mind paying for services if it means I will get results. Below are a list of countries I am most interested in. Thanks. Countries: Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK

Check out the JobsinHubs network of job search sites which offer easy access to English speaking jobs in a variety of European countries. Go to http://www.JobsinHubs.com to start your job hunt and good luck!

For work in the Netherlands you might want to take a look at this website. It is in Dutch AND in English. This already tells you something about Dutch economy and society. Getting a job in the IT industry will not pose much of a problem, providing you can document your qualifications and experience. http://www.kelly.nl/web/nl/services/en/pages/index.html Legal issues vis-a-vis your stay in Holland:http://www.ind.nl/nl/index.asp

Do guitars\ effects pedals bought in europe work in north america

Do guitars\ effects pedals bought in europe work in north america?
I live in Finland and I've been thinking of buying a dunlop crybaby and already have a guitar here, but i might be moving to the US in a year or so. I know that amps bought in europe won't work there, but i haven't seen anything about guitars or or pedals.

Well most guitar pedals and stomp boxes (and amplifiers) will work on a 6.3mm jack connection. Amplifiers bought in europe won't work in North America because the mains supply outlets are different, but you can fix that by buying a mains adaptor. In short, yes the guitar effects bought in Europe will work in North America because the connection styles are exactly the same internationally.
